Looks like we’ll have an Early Spring in 2021

You might have heard that Punxsutawney Phil predicted “6 more weeks of Winter” on Groundhog Day 2021 but, as we here at Countdown to Groundhog Day like to tell anybody who asks, and many who don’t, Phil is not the only weather predictor.

We spent a good portion of yesterday watching all of the various Groundhog Day forecasters providing their prognostications, and have been tracking down additional forecasts since.

As of this writing we’ve found 77 Groundhog Day forecasts, and, of those forecasts, 63.64% say Early Spring, while only 36.36% call for 6 more weeks of Winter.

There are certainly some predictions that we haven’t accounted for yet, and we’ll continue to work on tracking them down, however it’s unlikely that there will be enough to overturn the Early Spring prediction.
