Cluxatawney Henrietta’s Groundhog Day 2024 event

On Friday, February 2nd, 2024, Cluxatawney Henrietta provided her 6th annual Groundhog Day prediction at Muscoot Farm in Westchester County in New York. The Countdown to Groundhog Day team was there to document the event.

Originally scheduled to be outside, the event was moved indoors due to rainy weather.

Breakfast, treats, games, and crafts were available to attendees of the ceremony.

A few speeches were given before the big moment, when Henrietta’s prediction, written in “chicken scratch”, was read out to the crowd by farm director Jonathon Benjamin.

It turns out that Cluxatawney Henrietta laid an egg, which of course signifies an early arrival to spring.
