Enter our Groundhog Day 2024 art contest
Groundhog Day 2024 is rapidly approaching, which means it’s time for another groundhog related art contest! In the past we’ve asked you to insert groundhogs into famous movie scenes and to put groundhogs into famous artwork.
For our latest contest, we’re requesting that you paint or draw artwork for a theoretical Groundhog Day special. For example what if a Peanuts special entitled ‘Don’t be scared Charlie Brown, that’s just your shadow!’ had been produced or if there were a Dr. Seuss Groundhog Day special called ‘How the Grinch made Groundhog Day unpleasant!’? Or what if your favorite TV show had a Groundhog Day related episode? Like what if Urkel or the Fonz had to save Groundhog Day?
We want to see your ideas for the artwork that would have been put in TV Guide or the newspaper to advertise these Groundhog Day episodes.

Entries must be the original artwork of the submitter. There will be prizes for the top 3 vote-getters.

Third Place: $5 Amazon.com Gift Card or equivalent (digital)
Submission Start Date: Friday, December 8th, 2023
Submission End Date: Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 (all entries must be received by midnight ET)
Voting will begin on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 on the Countdown to Groundhog Day website, open to all users. Voting will end on Wednesday January 31st, 2024 at 11:59PM, Eastern Time (ET). The winning entries will be posted on the Countdown to Groundhog Day website and the winners notified via email on or about February 1st, 2024 (Groundhog Day Eve!).
