The second episode of our Groundhog Day themed podcast Every Day Is Groundhog Day (Except for the Days When It’s Not) is now available.
This episode is focused on powerful Groundhog Day forecaster Woodstock Willie, the groundhog from Woodstock, Illinois. For those not aware, Woodstock is the town where the movie Groundhog Day was filmed, and which stood in for Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Willie has been providing Groundhog Day predictions since the late ’90s.
In this episode we talk with Melissa McMahon, a member of the Woodstock Groundhog Days Committee member as well as Woodstock Willie’s handler. We discuss Woodstock Willie and Woodstock’s relationship to Groundhog Day.
