“Get Your Phil of Roses” Phantastic Phil

“Get Your Phil of Roses” is one of the Phantastic Phil statues found around town in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. According to the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce “Thousands of pieces of carefully arranged glass adorn” this Phil. It was created by Brenda Nicklas and it took over 200 hours to complete.[]

“Fireman Phil” Phantastic Phil

“Fireman Phil” is one of the Phantastic Phil statues that can be found around town in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. According to the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce this Phil “is a tribute to the late firefighter Leroy ‘Cookie’ Depp. ” Additionally on the statue there are patches from three local fire companies as well as the number worn by Leroy. Leroy’s family sponsored the creation of the statue, not just as a memorial to Depp, but “as a tribute to volunteer firefighters everywhere.”[]

This is the Phantastic Phil named “Philatelic” in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. According to the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce, this Phantastic Phil was sponsored by the employees of the Punxsutawney Post Office and named after the the collection and study of postage stamps which is called “philately.”[]

This is Phillage, the first Phantastic Phil, which was painted by artist Kelly Porada. It features Phil with the traditional tuxedo and top hat worn by the caretakers of Punxsutawney Phil.[]
