Enter our 2023 groundhog art contest
Here at Countdown to Groundhog Day, we feel like there’s not enough groundhog related art in the world, and we’re doing our “best” to change that. Last year we held an art contest asking you to put groundhogs into your favorite movies. We got some great submissions, and this year we’re going to hold another contest.
For this year’s contest we’re asking you to paint or draw groundhogs into famous works of art. For example you could make the Mona Lisa, but with Mona Lisa as a groundhog, or American Gothic but with groundhogs as the creepy people in the painting!

Entries must be the original artwork of the submitter. There will be prizes for the top 3 vote getters. We don’t have a huge budget but got a little bit of money by selling the foosball table from the Countdown to Groundhog Day breakroom.
Submission Start Date: Sunday, January 8th, 2023
Submission End Date: Monday, January 23rd, 2023 (all entries must be received by midnight ET)
Voting will begin on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023 on the Countdown to Groundhog Day website, open to all users. Voting will end on Tuesday January 31st, 2023 at 11:59PM, Eastern Time (ET). The winning entries will be posted on the Countdown to Groundhog Day website and the winners notified via email on or about February 1st, 2023 (Groundhog Day Eve!).
