Snohomish Slew
Location: Snohomish, Washington, United States
Description: From 2006 until 2022, a bullfrog named Snohomish Slew provided a weather prediction in Snohomish, Washington, during the annual GroundFrog Day Celebration. If Snohomish Slew croaked during the ceremony, it meant that there would be an early spring, otherwise there would be six more weeks of winter. A few hundred people usually attended the event, which featured live music and booths from sponsors and non-profit groups. The final GroundFrog Day was held in 2023, but Slew did not provide a prediction that year, instead it was provided by the frog mascots Tad and Lil.
