Boise Bill was a stuffed prairie dog plushie, who provided Groundhog Day predictions at the Zoo Boise in Boise, Idaho, from the mid-1990s until 2022.
During his Groundhog Day appearance, if Boise Bill saw his shadow, that would indicate there would be six more weeks of winter. If Boise Bill did not see his shadow, there would be an early spring.
Boise Bill would appear each year with Boise's KTVB meterologist Larry Gebert, who sadly passed away in 2022.
