Wildwood Willie is a taxidermied groundhog who has been providing a Groundhog Day prediction at Metroparks Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, for several decades, possibly as far back as 1980.
During his Groundhog Day visit, if Willie sees his shadow, there will be a long winter. If Willie does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.
Willie often wears different clothing items, such as hats, t-shirts, and ties, and has been referred to as a "fashion icon."
Besides Willie's prediction, visitors to Willie's festivities can partake in a hike. There are also usually groundhog-themed arts and crafts, activities, and games.
