Essex Ed
Essex Ed was a groundhog at the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, New Jersey, who predicted the weather on Groundhog Day from the late 1990s until 2021. A small ceremony was usually held involving Ed's prognostication which was attended by a few hundred people and the local media. Ed was superseded by his niece Lady Edwina of Essex.
