Cluxatawney Henrietta

Cluxatawney Henrietta (sometimes referred to in the press as Clucksatawney Hen or Clucksatawney Henrietta), is a salmon Faverolles chicken, who has been providing a Groundhog Day prediction, at Muscoot Farm in Katonah, New York, since 2019.

If Cluxatawney Henrietta lays an egg on the morning of her Groundhog Day ceremony, there will be an early spring. If no egg is laid, there will be 6 more weeks of winter.

Breakfast and other refreshments, such as chicken-shaped cookies, are provided for attendees of Henrietta's prognostication. There are also often games and activities at the event.
