Scramble the Duck

Every Duck Day (February 2nd), Scramble the Duck provides a weather prediction at 7:30 AM in front of the Ivy Glenn Building in Eastford, Connecticut.

During the Duck Day ceremony, Scramble comes out of his little duck house, and if he sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter. If Scramble fails to see his shadow, there will be an early spring. His handlers read a scroll containing Scramble's prediction.

A small crowd of a few dozen people usually gathers to witness Scramble's prediction.

Scramble claims to have a degree from Stormy Heights Academy, an academy for weather predictors.

The original Scramble sadly passed away in late 2021, and was replaced by his offspring, Scramble the Duck Jr., beginning in 2022.
