Queen City Charlie

Queen City Charlie is a groundhog mascot who has been providing a Groundhog Day prediction in Cumberland, Maryland, since 2022.

If Charlie sees his shadow during his annual celebration, there will be a long winter. If Charlie does not see his shadow, spring is just around the corner.

Queen City Charlie is the successor to Western Maryland Murray who provided Groundhog Day prognostications for over a decade.
