Pisgah Penny

The town of Brevard, North Carolina celebrates February 2nd as White Squirrel Day, and, from 2022 to 2024, gathered to hear the prediction of a white squirrel named Pisgah Penny (Penelope Ella Catherine Elizabeth).

Pisgah Penny not only predicted the weather, but also the winner of the Super Bowl, by choosing from cards that were placed in her cage, which had the choices printed on them.

Pisgah Penny took over from her uncle Pisgah Pete who retired in 2022.

Pisgah Penny passed away in 2024, and was replaced by Pisgah Piper.
