Oil Springs Ollie was an educational animal for Heaven's Wildlife Rescue Rehabilitation & Education Centre in Oil Spring, Ontario, who provided a Groundhog Day forecast from 2014 to 2021.
During his prediction ceremony, if Ollie saw his shadow, there would be six more weeks of winter. If Ollie did not spot his shadow, there would be an early spring.
During Ollie's Groundhog Day event, refreshments, such as hot chocolate and muffins, would often be provided.
Oil Spring Ollie passed away in 2021. His prognosticating duties were assumed by his apprentice, Heaven's Wildlife Harvey.
