Gus was a groundhog at the Bear Hollow Zoo in Athens, Georgia, who provided several Groundhog Day predictions in the late 2000s to mid-2010s.

If Gus saw his shadow during his annual Groundhog Day appearance, that meant that that there would be a long winter. If Gus did not see his shadow, that meant there would be an early spring.
