Grubby the Groundhog

Hope Grown Grubby was a groundhog who provided a winter prognostication from 2015 until 2020 in Hope, Indiana.

During her annual Groundhog Day appearance, if Grubby saw her shadow, there would be a long winter. If not, that would indicate spring was on its way.

Grubby resided at the Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators when not providing Groundhog Day forecasts. Grubby first arrived at Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators after sustaining critical injuries from a dog and was nursed back to health.

Grubby was superseded by Hope the Groundhog as Hope's Groundhog Day forecaster.
