Benny the Bass

Benny is a bass in Buckeye Lake, Ohio, who provides an annual winter prediction as part of Buckeye Lake Region Chamber of Commerce Winterfest. During the ceremony minnows are dumped into Benny's tank. If Benny eats at least one minnow within three minutes of the minnows' release, then it means there will be an early spring; otherwise there will be a long winter. Winterfest is held on the last Saturday in January of each year.
