Okie the Mascot

Okie the Mascot is the spokes-marmot at Allan Brooks Nature Centre, in Vernon, British Columbia, who has been providing Groundhog Day predictions since 2025.

Okie's prediction is based on whether he sees his shadow (long winter) or not (early spring).

Okie the Mascot took over for Allan Brooks Nature Centre's original prognosticator Okanagan Okie, who was a plush yellow-bellied marmot.
