Chicago Harry

Chicago Harry is a groundhog who provides a Groundhog Day prediction at Harry Caray's Tavern on Navy Pier, in Chicago.

Harry Caray's has been throwing a Groundhog Day celebration to honor Harold Ramis (who was a partner in the restaurant) since 2024. Chicago Harry's prediction takes place towards the end of that celebration.

If Harry sees his shadow during his annual appearance, there will be six more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.

During the first year of the event, February 2nd was declared "Harold Ramis Day" by the city of Chicago. Multiple cast members attended, including Bill Murray.

The name "Chicago Harry" is a reference to both the famous sportscaster Harry Caray, who the restaurant group is named after, and Harold Rammis, who was also sometimes called Harry.
