Kennebec Kenny is a groundhog mascot that provides a Groundhog Day prediction for the residents of the Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Augusta, Maine.

When Kennebec Kenny emerges from his burrow in front of the center, he looks for his shadow. If Kenny sees his shadow, that indicates there will be a long winter. If Kenny does not see his shadow, then there will be an early spring.
