A huge ceremony revolving around Phil's winter forecast is held each year with crowd size sometimes reaching over 40,000 people. According to Punxsutawney Groundhog Club lore, Phil takes a sip of a magic "elixir of life" every summer which extends his life another 7 years, meaning, officially, there has only ever been one Punxsutawney Phil.
